About the Ditchling Players

Welcome to the Ditchling Players. The name of the Ditchling Players has been in existence since January 1945 although there was has been an active drama group in the village of Ditchling, East Sussex going back for many years prior to that date.

Since its inception the Players have always been active in both village and county events and in 1972 when the Village Hall was rebuilt the Players were able to co-operate with the architect with the result that we now have one of the best amateur stages in the district.

We produce two plays a year in May and November. A Newsletter is published regularly containing features, reviews and news items.

Although we are a small group we have a loyal audience and a hard working committee. Like other groups in this area we pride ourselves in always producing the best in amateur theatre and have won many Mid Sussex Times Awards over the years, not just for acting but backstage work too.

Both our productions and rehearsals are held at the Ditchling Village Hall and you can always be assured of a warm welcome. Find out more about getting involved or get in touch.
